DOMINIC LOR AN ZHEN

Dominic started dance classes in ballroom dancing at a tender age of 7 in William & Luisa DanceWorld under his parents’ guidance. At the age of 10 he started his first ballet class with his mother and has since fallen in love with the art form.
In 2016, Dominic was awarded a full-year scholarship to the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, D.C. at the 1st Malaysia International Ballet Grand Prix. In Washington, D.C., Dominic studied the Russian method under the guidance of Bat Udval, Stanislav Belyaevsky and Anastasia Dunets in the Junior Company class of 2017-2018.
In June 2019, Dominic received 1st place in the Senior category at the 22nd The Dance Society of Malaysia Classical Solo Ballet Competition.
In the same year, he joined Ballet Manila’s second company and was promoted to the Main Company as a Company Artist in October 2019.
Dominic's classical repertoires inculde Prince in 'The Nutcracker', Mercutio in 'Romeo and Juliet', The Four Suitors of Rose Adagio in ‘The Sleeping Beauty', Lead role in Igor Moiseyev's ‘Summer’, ‘Flames of Paris’ Grand Pas de Deux, ‘Le Corsaire’ Grand Pas de Deux and Pas D'Esclave.
